The focus of this seminar is to introduce you to quantitative techniques, tools and methods used to analyze text data. Diane Gal will present examples from her and colleagues at KU Leuven efforts to study the evolution of cardiovascular disease research, using over 20 years of publication meta-data. Open discussion is encouraged on areas including the use of bibliometrics, network analysis and text mining in health sciences.
