Understanding Clinical Trials, 26-28 May
Responsible: Ana Azevedo Department of Clinical Epidemiology, Predictive Medicine and Public Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto Institute of Public Health, University of Porto In research with human populations, experimental studies have a prominent place, playing an important role in assessing the effect of therapeutic and pharmacological interventions or not. In this course we will focus on methodological aspects and more important in the strategic design and execution of clinical trials. The hierarchy of scientific evidence for the reasoning of clinical practice and public health will be discussed. It is intended to form critical readers of the medical literature, and help train professionals capable of designing clinical trials initiated by the investigators, and support clinicians and decision makers at various levels. Will also be addressed rules to conduct clinical trials in Portugal.Click here to see the Program
