Iva Tendais was born in 1978 in Porto. She has a B. S. in Psychology (Univ. Minho, 2001), a Master in Public Health (Univ. Porto, 2006) and a PhD in Applied Psychology (Univ. Minho, 2017). Her PhD was funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT; SFRH/BD/40146/2007). She has been involved in several research projects funded by the European Union, FCT and Fundação Bial on topics such as psychological adjustment to pregnancy and parenthood, health effects of physical activity during pregnancy, mental health and early development, developmental psychopathology, twins’ fetal behavior and fetal heart rate. She also has experience in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses. She is currently a postdoctoral researcher within the research project entitled “SHIPS –Screening to improve Health in very Preterm infantS in Europe (PHC-06-2014 –633724)”. She is a member of the Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology research group within the EPIUnit.
