Catarina Tojal is graduated in Psychology from the Universisity of Trás-os-Monte and Alto Douro (2007). In 2011, she completed a Master´s Degree in Clinical Psychology at the same university. During 2013-2016, she was a research fellow within the project “Contributions of parent-infant psychophysiology during dyadic interactions to child development” (Bial Foundation, Ref. 175/12).
She is now a PhD student at the Doctoral Programme in Global Public Health, with a grant from the Foundation for Science and Tecnology (PD/BD/128010/2016). She is also a member of the Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology research group (EPIUnit) at Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP).
Her main research of interests are preterm births, perinatal and pediatric epidemiology, child development and mental health.
