Ana Sofia Vilela
Sofia Vilela graduated in Nutrition Sciences by the University of Porto (FCNAUP) in 2009 and in 2013 obtained the master degree in Epidemiology (FMUP). In 2018 she concluded the PhD in Public health with the thesis “Tracking the acquisition of eating habits in children and its effects on behaviours related to appetite and on adiposity” (Ref. SFRH/BD/92389/2013). She develops her research work at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) since 2010, integrating the Nutrition and Obesity Epidemiology research group (EPIUnit). She is a member of the National Consortium for the development of the National Food, Nutrition and Physical Activity Survey (IAN-AF). Her main interests in research are related with tracking of eating habits in childhood and its determinants. She is also interested in assessing the association between food exposures and eating behaviours related to appetite and obesity.
