2001-2006 - Degree in Psychology (Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Coimbra, Portugal) – Clinical Psychology, CBT.

2008-2010 - Master in Health Psychology (Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, University of Porto, Portugal) with the thesis: “Socioeconomic inequalities in the manifestation of Depressive Symptoms: Observational study in an urban sample”.

2010-2014 - PhD in Public Health (Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, Portugal) with the thesis: “Intimate partner violence in Europe: Bringing facts into light under a Public Health perspective”.

2014-2016 – Researcher at the Health Research Centre of Angola, Bengo Province, supporting the management of an established Health and Demographic Surveillance System.

Diogo is currently working as a research associate at the Institute of Public Health, University of Porto (EPIUnit). His research interests include: Epidemiology of violence, socioeconomic inequalities in health, social deprivation, vulnerable populations and health promotion.
