Isabel Maia is graduated in Nutritional Sciences by the Faculty of Biotechnology of the Portuguese Catholic University (2012) and Master in Epidemiology by the Medical School of the University of Porto (2015). During 2015-2016, she was a research fellow within the project “Promoting Food Security in Portugal – ProFooSe” (Ref. 000118SI2). She is currently a PhD student at Doctoral Programme in Public Health of Medical School of University of Porto, with a grant from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. She is also member of the research group on Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology (EPIUnit) at Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP).
Current research interests: Food insecurity; Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology.
