Message of the Chair

Welcome to the Department of Health & Society!

The work of our team intends to produce and disseminate robust and timely evidence to inform people-centred policies and integrated care on health inequalities and innovative health technologies, contributing to interdisciplinary research.

Focusing on sensitive health issues related with scientific and socio-political relevant themes, the ground-breaking works carried out by the Department of Health & Society contribute to the development, dissemination and application of new knowledge in the public health domain. It does so by stimulating research and training of excellence.

We add strategic value to ISPUP’s mission by raising awareness to the understanding, improvement and protection of population health through a humanitarian and human rights approach based on quantitative and qualitative methodologies. We get inspiration from working closely with people and taking their experiences, expectations and rights into account in order to promote responsible research and innovation.
