Public Health in Practice: Monitoring illicit drug use and promotion of best practices in Europe

The Speaker is Alessandra Bo from the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction (EMCDDA)

Alessandra Bo is a biologist with a master’s degree in public health from the London School for Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has been working as a public health specialist in developing countries for both the European Commission and several international organizations. Among several activities, she set up a training course on Field Epidemiology for Sudanese Ministry of Health Officers and assisted an international organization with the final evaluation of a Reproductive Health programme. In 2008 she joined the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction and has been involved in the development and coordination of the EMCDDA Best Practice Portal.
