She was born in 1971 in Ukraine (USSR), where in 1989 she finished his degree in Nursing. Chose the specialty of Pediatric Nursing and worked at the hospital in Grimayliv (Ukraine).
She graduated in Nutrition Sciences in 2013, at FCNAUP. She developed his research work under the theme “Assessment of eating habits and nutritional status of a Ukrainian population residing in the North of Portugal”.
In 2019, she finished his Master’s Degree in Consumer Sciences and Nutrition, with the dissertation entitled “Food acquisition by Portuguese elderly: routine, determinants and support”, integrated in the PRONUTRISENIOR Project, related to the training of health professionals and others working in the community for surveillance of their nutritional status and reduction of malnutrition, between 2015-2016.
Between 2018 and 2019 she received a scholarship in the project “Perinatal Health in Migrants: Barriers, Incentives and Results”.
Right now, she has a scholarship in the project “STOP Low birth weight” – Challenge Gulbenkian Health and Well-being of children: the importance of the right weight.
Areas of interest: education and health literacy; community nutrition.
