Elisabete Pinto holds an appointment as Assistant Professor at Faculty of Biotechnology – UCP Porto, where she is also Researcher. She also participates in the coordination of two Post-graduations: one in Pediatric nutrition and other in Nutrition and Ageing.
She has got a PhD in Public Health from Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto (PT) and is graduated in Nutritional Sciences from the Faculty of Food and Nutritional Sciences, University of Porto (PT).
As Assistant Professor, she teaches Public Health, Epidemiology, Community nutrition, Nutrition and Public Health in different undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Nutrition and other Health Sciences.
Her research interests centred in Nutrition and Public Health, with focus on life cycle and sustainability. She has been involved in several national and Internalstional research projects, some of them focus on ageing, as well as several bachelor and master projects.
As a specialist in Public Health, she as participated in different projects of health promotion targeting different population groups and in different settings: Faculties, elementary schools, higher schools, nursing homes, community, etc.
She is author of more than 50 national and Internalstional papers reviewed by peers and more than 100 communications (poster or oral) and approximately 20 lectures in scientific meetings.
