Filipa Fontes

Filipa Fontes was born in 1985, in Santa Maria da Feira, Aveiro, Portugal.

She graduated in Nursing in 2007, received his master`s degree in Epidemiology in 2013 and completed her PhD in Public Health in 2017 with the thesis “The impact of neuropathic pain in sleep quality of breast cancer patients”.

Currenttly, she is invited assistant professor of Epidemiology in the Faculty of Medicine of Porto and Assistant Researcher at Precancerous Lesions and Early Cancer Management (PreCAM) Group of the IPO Porto Research Center (CI-IPOP).

She (co-) authored over 40 publications in international journals and one book chapter on cancer epidemiology.

Her research interests are the study of the global burden of cancer and its impact in patient-reported outcomes.
