Pedro Ferreira

Pedro Ferreira graduated in Nutritional Sciences at the Fernando Pessoa University in 2019. During this period, he participated in IoMum project (Iodine status monitoring in Portuguese pregnant women: Impact of supplementation), at the Faculty of Medicine – University of Porto, being responsible for evaluating the role of food sources in the iodine status of this population.

In 2020, he joined the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) for a training program, developing research on appetitive traits in childhood. Currently he is a master’s student on Community Nutrition and Public Health at the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences – University of Porto (FCNAUP), and his thesis is being carried out using data from the Generation XXI cohort.

He is a member of the Research Lab on Eating Behaviors and Childhood Obesity of the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR), and he also works as a clinical nutritionist.
