Vanessa Gorito

Vanessa Gorito holds an Integrated Masters in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Coimbra (2014).
She is a pediatrician at the São João Hospital and University Centre (2021). She is also currently a Pediatric Hospital Assistant at the Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro Hospital Center and a lecturer hired by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, Department of Gynecology-Obstetrics and Pediatrics (2019).
She has collaborated with ISPUP since 2016, when she started the PhD programme in Public Health.
She integrates the ITR Laboratory “Population Design of Musculoskeletal Health and Disease”.
She is mainly dedicated to researching pain complaints and their determinants during pediatric age.
