Ana Ferro is a pharmacist, who finished her degree in 2009. After working two years as a pharmacist, she joined the Master in Public Health, at ISPUP, where she developed particular interest for cancer epidemiology, namely prostate and gastric cancer, its determinants and risk factors. She was awarded a research fellowship within the project “Determinants of gastric and esophageal cancers incidence in the north of Portugal” funded by Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (PTDC/SAU- EPI/122460/2010). She is now a student at the FCT PhD Program in Global Public Health, awarded with a scholarship (PD/BD/105823/2014), and is part of the Non-Communicable Diseases Epidemiology Research Group of the EPIUnit.
