Inês Baía graduated in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Aveiro in 2012. She finished her master in Public Health in 2014, at the Faculdade de Medicina, Universidade do Porto, and her PhD in Public Health in 2020, with an individual grant from the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. She is a member of the research group on Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology of the Epidemiology Research Unit (EPIUnit) at ISPUP and on the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR). At the moment, Inês is a post-doctoral researcher in the study "STOP Low Birth Weight", funded by Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. Inês has been involved in several reseach projects: "COVID-19 in pregnancy: obstetric and neonatal outcomes" (2020); "ENGAgED - Bionetworking and citizENship on GAmetE Donation" (2016-2019); "EPICE - Effective Perinatal Intensive Care In Europe, Translating Knowledge Into Evidence-Based Practice" (2013-2015); "PACO - Parenting Roles and Knowledge in Neonatal Intensive Care Units" (2013-2014). Her main research interests are related to reproductive and perinatal health, namely assisted reproductive technologies, prematurity and low birth weight.
