Abstract: Adverse events are common in TB management, and can have a large impact on people taking TB medications, their adherence to treatment as well as affect their outcome. UNITE4TB aims to set a new standard for anti-TB regimen development, by upgrading current clinical trial methodology and enhancing the efficiency with which new regimes are delivered. “Management of Adverse Events in TB care” is the eleventh webinar of a series from the UNITE4TB project, where the speaker – Dr. Simon Tiberi from GSK, will seek to enhance participants’ knowledge on the importance of counselling people with TB on AEs before starting treatment, and the value of active TB drug safety monitoring (aDSM). This Expert Interview will be divided into 2 parts: first the presentation by the speaker; followed by a discussion moderated by Prof. Dr. Raquel Duarte and Prof. Dr. Cristoph Lange.
