Raquel Costa was born in 1976 in Vila Nova de Gaia. She graduated in Psychology in 2001, completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2004 at the University of Minho and a PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2010 at the same University. She is an Assistant Professor at the European University |Laureate Internalstional Universities, where she has been working full time since 2011. In her academic career, she has already served at the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (2009-2013). She is scientific advisor and co-supervisor of master’s theses in the area of ​​Clinical Psychology and Educational Psychology.

She guides professional internships at the Ordem dos Psicólogos. She has developed research work in projects funded by national and Internalstional funds in the areas of developmental psychology, psychophysiology and behavioral genetics. She is the author and co-author of articles in Internalstional peer-reviewed journals and impact index indexed in SCOPUS and ISIS. Works published in the field of clinical psychology have more than 350 citations in the ISI Web of Knowledge (h index = 8) and more than 1200 citations in Google Scholar (h index = 20).
