Ana Raquel Carvalho holds a Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology and Health from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Porto and is an effective member of the Portuguese Psychologists Association (OPP). She started her journey with an internship for the OPP in 2015, at ISPUP, during this period her main function was the cognitive assessment of children from the Generation XXI Birth Cohort – Born and Grow at the Beginning of the Millennium, between 9 and 11 years old. In 2016, as a research fellow at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, she worked as a psychologist and researcher in the European project SHIPS (Screening to improve Health In very Preterm infantS in Europe), developing her activity in the cognitive and neurodevelopmental assessment of children enrolled in the project, in Portugal, aged 5 years. In 2018, as an ISPUP research fellow, she performed functions as a psychologist, researcher and inquirer in the Generation XXI Project, continuing the cognitive assessment of participants and conducting structured questionnaires for parents and adolescents in the project; in the SHIPS project, performing the management of databases and administrative tasks inherent to the project. Since February 2020, she has performed management functions for the EPICE-Portugal cohort.
