Armine Abrahamyan

Arminé Abrahamyan has a BSc Hons in Psychology and she also earned an MSc in Clinical Psychology from Yerevan State University. She has been practicing as a Clinical Psychologist since 2010. Arminé also obtained a Master in Public Health (MPH) degree from the American University of Armenia in 2015. She devoted her Master’s thesis project to the exploration of pediatric palliative needs of adolescents living with cancer and their parents. Her thesis was presented and awarded the Prize for Best Poster in the ASPHER Young Researchers Forum, a pre-conference event at the 8th European Public Health Conference, Milan, Italy.
In May 2018 Arminé joined the research group at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP).

Currently, she is a Ph.D. student in Public Health (FMUP) with an individual doctoral grant (SFRH/BD/144503/2019). Her current research interests are related to childhood social adverse experiences and their impact on children’s and adolescents’ health.

She is a member of the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR) at the Research Lab Social Adversity and Health Inequalities.
