José António Figueiredo completed his Master’s in Medicine at Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Coimbra in 2021.
Since 2023, he has been working as a Public Health Resident at Unidade Local de Saúde São João – Pólo Porto Oriental and finished his Specialization in Public Health at the Public Health Institute of the University of Porto in 2024.
He has been collaborating with the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health since 2025, on the HUG Project, more specifically studying the impact of gentrification on the health of adults living in Porto.
He presented several scientific presentations at both national and international conferences. One of his primary research interests is Urban Health and its impact on population health.
