The Public Health Institute of the University of Porto within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and the approved application “Platform For a Global Health – Qualification of Human Health Resources”, coordinated by the Polytechnic Institute of Health of the North in the context of the WARNING N.º 01/PRR/2021 – Youth Impulse Program STEAM and Adult Impulse Program, presents below the advanced course on the topic: Post-Stroke Vascular Prevention.

Saturday (September 20) - 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Obs.: Free course, but limited to 40 places, which will be occupied in order of registration.
- Systematize the diagnostic evaluation after ischemic stroke;
- Identify the main modifiable risk factors in ischemic stroke;
- To know the most recent recommendations regarding the orientation of vascular risk factors after ischemic stroke;
- Recognize the main etiologies of ischemic stroke;
- Structure a vascular prevention plan adapted to the particularities of each ischemic stroke;
- Value the integrated multidisciplinary approach in the patient’s approach after ischemic stroke.
The course is aimed at specialists or interns of specific training, as well as other health professionals, interested in the area of Cerebrovascular Diseases.
