Final conference of the European project ToxLearn4EU takes place in Porto

On January 16 and 17th, the “ToxLearn4EU-Toxicology Innovative Learning For Europe” project will hold its final conference at Centro de Saúde Pública Dr. Gonçalves Ferreira (Instituto Nacional de Saúde Doutor Ricardo Jorge) in Porto, Portugal.

This event, themed “ToxLearn4EU: Next-Generation Toxicologists” marks the culmination of an ambitious European collaboration co-funded by the ERASMUS+ program (ref: 2021-1-FR01-KA220-HED-000030081). It comprises a consortium of seven universities and three research institutes of all around Europe from France, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and The Netherlands. The project is coordinated by the University of Toulouse, France, with ISPUP being the sole Portuguese partner.

The conference will be an opportunity to share the main results of this innovative project that aims to transform the landscape of Toxicology and Environmental Toxicology education. Recognizing the critical importance of these disciplines in understanding and mitigating the impact of chemicals on human health and the environment, the project aims to make learning engaging, accessible, and impactful. During the conference, international and national experts will explore topics of great relevance, including the impact of artificial intelligence in higher education, the training of professionals through real-world problem solving (problem-based learning) and educational technologies for inclusive pedagogy.

The event is hybrid and will be held in English. Participation is free, but registration is required. For in-person participation (Centro de Saúde Pública Dr. Gonçalves Ferreira) click here. For online participation click here for the registration form.
