Alex Xavier completed his degree in Mathematics at the University of Aveiro in 2023 and is currently completing his master’s degree in Medical Statistics at the same institution.
Between September and December 2024, he completed an interim internship at the Coimbra Local Health Unit (ULS Coimbra), where he worked as a statistician to support clinical research.
He is currently working as an academic intern at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP), as part of the “HfPT – Health from Portugal” research project, also working as a senior technician.
His main interests are in the application of statistical methods to research, with particular emphasis on data analysis and communication of results in multidisciplinary contexts.
