Ana Sofia Afonso Ferreira

Ana Sofia Ferreira (Ferreira AS) is graduated in Biology by University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro (UTAD, 2007), holding a PhD in Veterinary Sciences by Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar (ICBAS), University of Porto (UP) (2015).
At presente, ASF is a researcher at the Faculty of Pharmacy (UP), focusing her efforts in studying on animal and human virology, mainly on zoonotic viruses, with special interest on surveillance tools and epidemiology as well as bioinformatics and next-generation sequencing analysis.
