Verónica Barros is a nutritionist (5066N) from the Catholic University and a Master’s student in Clinical Nutrition at the University of Porto, where she is developing, within ISPUP, a research thesis focused on the relationship between the COVID-19 pandemic and eating behaviour changes, sports performance, stress, anxiety and sleep quality in football players.
She has already interned at the WHO – World Health Organization and at Boavista Futebol Clube. She is trained in Psychology for High Performance Sports (from Barcelona Futbol Club), ISAK Anthropometry (Level 1), Eating Behaviors & Nutritional Coaching, Laboratory Test Interpretation and Leadership & Team Management.
She currently works with the women’s team of Futebol Clube de Famalicão. She also practices clinical nutrition at Myo Clinic, where she emphasizes a holistic approach to nutritional reeducation.
