Ana Luíza Melo is a physician graduated from the University of Pernambuco (Brazil) in 2020, with a specialization in General Surgery completed in 2023.

Currently practicing medicine in Portugal, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in Public Health at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto.

Her research is part of the L2 – Syndemics, health inequalities and vulnerable populations and she actively collaborates in the Laboratory Public and Patient Involvement in Health, contributing to advancing knowledge on the challenges of equity and public participation in health.
