The Instituto de Saúde Pública da Universidade do Porto, in collaboration with the Portuguese Pneumological Society, has organised this theoretical and practical course on tuberculosis.
Obs.: Saturday mornings, in a total of 7 sessions from 9:00 until 13:00
- Apply epidemiology concepts in clinical practice;
- Use the diagnostic tools in the study of a patient with suspected tuberculosis;
- Use the available drugs in the treatment of tuberculosis, as well as address the comorbidities and adverse effects;
- Understand the principles of the approach to multidrug-resistant tuberculosis;
- Understand how to screen populations at risk;
- Know how to address an outbreak of tuberculosis and understand the dynamics of transmission of tuberculosis in a community.
