Alexandra Costa holds a licentiate degree in Nutrition Sciences (2017) and a master’s degree in Public Health (2020). In 2017, she completed an internship at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP). From 2018-2021, she worked as a research fellow at the same institution in the project “Appetite and adiposity: evidence for gene-environment interactions in children”.
Currently, she is a PhD student in Public Health (Faculty of Medicine University of Porto) with a scholarship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
Her PhD project is focused on the development trajectory and natural history of appetitive behaviours in infancy and from childhood to adolescence.
She integrates the Research Lab on Eating Behaviours and Childhood Obesity of the ITR.
