Gustavo Soutinho received a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the Faculty of Science – University of Porto and a Master’s degree in Statistics from the University of Minho. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from FCUP and a postgraduate degree in Information Systems from UM.
During his postdoctoral research at the Faculty of Economics of Porto, he delved into his main research areas, which involve multi-state models and joint modeling of longitudinal and survival data, as well as the implementation of Econometric and machine learning models.
Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Universidade Portucalense, having previously collaborated as a Professor at the Abel Salazar Institute of Sciences, the University of Minho, and the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave.
Since 2018, he has been a Researcher at the Epidemiology Research Unit (EPIUnit).
