Marta Pinto da Costa was born in 1994. She graduated in Nutrition Sciences from the Instituto Universitário de Ciências da Saúde (2016) and obtained a Master’s degree in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), in 2019, with the thesis “Healthy Eating Pattern in Childhood: Tracking and its Related Factors”. Marta was a research fellow in the project “HEALS – Health and Environment-wide Associations based on Large Population Surveys” (HEALTH-F3-2010-265448) and in the “FOCAcCIa – FOod Contaminants Adiposity CognItive – Exposure to food additives and contaminants from food processing and packaging: Defining patterns and their effects on adiposity and cognitive function from childhood to adolescence” project. She is currently a student in the Doctoral Program in Public Health at FMUP, with a research project funded by the Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia (2020.08314.BD) entitled “Acquisition of eating habits from childhood to adolescence and influence on puberty onset and development”. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, abstracts in conference proceedings and presented oral communications and posters. She is a member of the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health, through the Laboratory for Nutrition and Cardiometabolic Health.
