The Public Health Institute of the University of Porto, within the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR) and the approved application “Platform For a Global Health – Qualification of Human Health Resources”, coordinated by the Polytechnic Institute of Health of the North in the context of the WARNING N.º 01/PRR/2021 – Youth Impulse Program STEAM and Adult Impulse Program, presents below the advanced course on the topic: Innovative Technologies in the Management of Cognitive Decline.
Zoom: Saturday, June 8, from 9am to 1pm - 1 session.
Attendance: Friday, June 21 and July 5, from 9am to 1pm and from 2pm to 6pm - 2 sessions.
Course addressed to:
- adults over 23 years old;
- residents in the national territory at the time of the actions of which they are beneficiaries.
Obs.:Free course, but limited to 20 places, which will be occupied in order of registration; ATTENTION: Mandatory submission in the application form, in the field "Annex" of the pdf with the proof of degree or master’s degree in Medicine, Psychology, Nursing or other degrees in the health area.
- Understand the epidemiology of cognitive decline and neurocognitive disorders;
- Identify changes in cognitive functioning;
- Implement monitoring plans using the Brain on Track® platform;
- Develop intervention plans and cognitive training sessions in different contexts and pathologies (dementia, stroke, among others) using the COGWEB® platform;
- Apply in an integrated way the knowledge and skills acquired during the course.

The course is aimed at health professionals with an interest in diagnosis, evaluation and intervention in individuals with changes in cognitive function.
