Sofia Cardoso has a graduate degree in Nutritional Sciences (2011-2015) and concluded her Master’s degree in Clinical Nutrition at the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto (FCNAUP), in 2017. Subsequently, she integrated research fellowships within the fields of food, nutrition, and health. In 2020, she started the Doctoral Programme in Public Health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), with an individual doctoral grant from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT). Her PhD project, entitled “The relationship between the sleep-wake cycle, eating habits and cardiometabolic health in Portuguese children and adolescents” (UI/BD/150784/2020), is being developed at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP). Currently, Sofia Cardoso integrates the Nutrition and Cardiometabolic Health Lab within the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR), Porto, Portugal.
