Vanda Craveiro holds the degree in nutritional sciences from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Science of the University of Porto (FCNAUP) and the master in public health from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) and the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS). Since 2017 she has been developing research on the EPITeen cohort, in the study of vitamin D, especially its relationship with pulmonary function, inflammation and blood pressure. In 2019, Vanda started the doctoral programme in public health from FMUP with a studentship from the Foundation for Science and Technology. Her thesis will examine the impact of the adolescence period on adult health, exploring the role of adiposity and inflammation. By the end of 2021 Vanda was selected for a 3-month internship at EUPHA – European Public Health Association, in Utrecht (The Netherlands), where she analysed the public health priorities mentioned in the european region for the following five years.
