Daniel Simões

Currently holding a PhD grant in Global Public Health at ISPUP, he is a Psychologist by training, Master in Community Psychology, and has been linked to the third sector since 2004, having worked in areas such as youth protection, social housing and mental health, before starting work in the field of HIV and related infections.

Currently a member of the Board of the GAT, and previously a collaborator of the institution, he played the role of project coordination and responsible for advocacy. He is also co-chair of the HIV in Europe initiative, member of the European Testing Week Working Group, the Steering Committee of the European AIDS Treatment Group advocacy and policy group, the advisory group on monitoring the ECDC Dublin Declaration, and one of the Portuguese representatives at the European Civil Society Forum on HIV, Viral Hepatitis and Tuberculosis.
