Duarte Torres, graduated in Nutrition Sciences at the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of University of Porto, in 2000. In 2004, he received her MSc in Biotechnology – Bioprocess Engineering at the School of Engineering of University of Minho. In 2010, he concluded the PhD in Chemical and Biological Sciences and Engineering at the School of Engineering of University of Minho.

He is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Food Science and Nutrition of the University of Porto, teaching Food Toxicology, Food and Meals Composition, Innovation, and Sensory Analysis.

He is Integrated Member of EPIUnit-ISPUP.

His major research interests are focused on the risk-benefit assessment related to food, nutrient and non-nutrient dietary compounds.
