From law to practice: strategies for Legionella prevention and control.
Monday to Thursday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
The main objective of this course is to enable participants to understand the risks associated with the Legionella bacterium, to recognize systems and equipments that promote its proliferation and to adopt effective prevention and control measures. It will present different approaches to the prevention of Legionnaires' Disease, including case studies, practical activities, knowledge assessments and visual materials to improve participants' understanding on the contents.
The course is aimed at students and professionals in the areas of Medicine, Public Health, Occupational Health, Engineering Environment, among other health and environmental professionals. We make the connection between clinical, technical and environmental sampling components.
