Daniela Marques de Sousa is currently a PhD student in Public Health, at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto, with a fellowship from the Foundation for Science and Technology (2022.13658.BD) for the thesis project entitled “NutriMIND: Nutrition-based Interventions to Prevent Cognitive Decline”. She takes part in the Epidemiology Research Unit (EPIUnit) as an integrated member (Non-PhD) and participates in the “Health Communication Lab” at the ITR (Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health).
She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Sciences from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto (FCNAUP). She obtained a Master’s Degree in Health Education from the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto, with the dissertation “Web-based interventions to promote health in adolescents”.
As a Nutritionist, Daniela worked at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) within the project “MIND-Matosinhos: Multiple Interventions to Prevent Cognitive Decline” (POISE-03-4639-FSE-000793) and previously participated in the project “PLATE – Technology-based Food Literacy Program in Schools: the prevention of obesity in adolescence” developed by ISPUP and was part of the technical team of the Public Health project “Food in Disability(ies)” promoted by the Cerebral Palsy Association of Porto.
