Daniela Sousa

Daniela Marques de Sousa has a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Sciences from the Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences of the University of Porto. She obtained a Master’s Degree in Health Education from the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences of the University of Porto, with the dissertation “Web-based interventions to promote health in adolescents”.

She works as a Nutritionist at the Institute of Public Health of the University of Porto (ISPUP) within the project “MIND-Matosinhos: Multiple Interventions to Prevent Cognitive Decline” (POISE-03-4639-FSE-000793). She previously participated in the project “PLATE – Technology-based Food Literacy Program in Schools: the prevention of obesity in adolescence” developed by ISPUP and was part of the technical team of the Public Health project “Food in Disability(s)” promoted by the Cerebral Palsy Association of Porto.

She integrates the “Cognitive impairment in diseases involving the nervous system” Lab at the ITR – Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health.
