This laboratory aims to contribute to the study of food consumption habits and their determinants, with a particular focus on adherence to the Mediterranean Diet, eating patterns, the role of ultra-processed foods and sustainable food choices.

Although there is an interest in studying different populations and age groups, the lab places the focus of its research on the elderly population.

The aim of the group is to discover possible modifiable factors that will enable the implementation of intervention strategies capable of changing eating habits and their health outcomes.

The lab has studied the cooking skills of populations, given their importance in individual food choices. At the same time, the group is studying different methodologies for assessing eating habits, directly and indirectly, especially those that allow for comparison with other populations, as well as the analysis of temporal trends for nutritional monitoring in Public Health.
