Carla Lopes, Associated Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Porto (FMUP), with Aggregation in Public Health. PhD in Human Biology at FMUP. Graduated in Nutrition Sciences (Faculty of Nutrition and Food Sciences, University of Porto).
Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Public Health at FMUP; Member of the Pedagogical Council of the FMUP.
Member of the Executive Committee of the Association of European Schools of Public Health (ASPHER).

She is an integrated research member at the Epidemiology Research Unit of the Public Health Institute-University of Porto (ISPUP) and at the Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health (ITR), where she coordinates the research thematic line “Life course Research and Healthy Ageing” and the research group on “Nutrition and Cardiometabolic Health”.

Main research areas: Nutritional Epidemiology; Dietary habits and cardiometabolic health in the life-course; Dietary assessment methods.
